چکیده

The metasurface is a platform with small footprint and abundant functionalities. With propagation phase geometric phase, polarization multiplexing possible. However, different response behaviors of to wavelength have not been fully employed widen the capabilities metasurfaces. Here, we theoretically demonstrate that metasurfaces can achieve near-field far-field decoupling same at two wavelengths. First, found set pillars whose difference between wavelengths covers full range 2π. Then, by rotating control both cover Finally, means interference principle, arbitrary independent coding for near field far dual realized. In addition, when function focusing, focused spot close diffraction limit, and, NA lens very small, final output focal length four times initial input length. This work circumvents strong wavelength-dependent limitation planar devices paves way toward designing multi-wavelength multi-functional metadevices scenarios such as AR applications, fluorescence microscopy, stimulated emission depletion microscopy.

Near-field surface plasmons on quasicrystal metasurfaces

Excitation and manipulation of surface plasmons (SPs) are essential in developing cutting-edge plasmonic devices for medical diagnostics, biochemical spectroscopy and communications. The most common approach involves designing an array of periodic slits or grating apertures that enables coupling of the incident light to the SP modes. In recent years, plasmonic resonances, including extraordinar...

Near-field imaging with far-field data

Using the inverse diffractive grating problem as an example, we demonstrate how a super-resolution can be achieved stably by using far-field data. The idea is to place a slab of a homogeneous medium with a large index of refraction above the grating surface, and more propagating wave modes can be utilized from the far-field data which contributes to the reconstruction resolution. © 2016 Elsevie...

Near- and far-field spectroscopic imaging investigation of resonant square-loop infrared metasurfaces.

Optical metamaterials have unique properties which result from geometric confinement of the optical conductivity. We developed a series of infrared metasurfaces based on an array of metallic square loop antennas. The far-field absorption spectrum can be designed with resonances across the infrared by scaling the geometric dimensions. We measure the amplitude and phase of the resonant mode as st...

Seismic Behavior of Jacket Offshore Platform Subjected to Near and Far Field Ground Motions

Offshore structures such as jacket platforms have to inevitably be designed against  sever  environmental actions. In seismically active areas these structures also become susceptible to earthquake excitations. Strong ground motions recorded  in recent earthquakes, including the 1995 Kobe, Japan, 1999 Chi-chi, Taiwan and 1999 Kocaeli, Turkey earthquakes, revealed that the dynamic motions in nea...
